Companies Partner to Deliver Portable Digital X-Ray Systems During Height of Pandemic
NEWBURGH, NY – October 6, 2020 – In the midst of the largest public health emergency in over 100 years, Prestige Medical Imaging (PMI) of Newburgh, NY was called upon to deliver and install over 1,000 portable X-ray units to help hospitals and clinics fight COVID-19. PMI relied on its partner, First Source, Inc. to assist in handling this challenge.
In March 2020, as the pandemic was spiking in several areas of the United States, PMI was quick to respond to communities in dire need of additional imaging equipment to augment overburdened hospital resources. When they needed to deliver over 1,000 digital X-ray systems in less than three months, PMI turned to one of its partners, First Source, Inc. of Rochester, NY for assistance.

The Vision M is a portable digital X-ray system that deploys rapidly and can be transported easily around a hospital or any confined area to capture high quality X-ray images, resulting in faster diagnosis and improved patient care. The Vision M also folds into a compact size that allows it to be transported in a vehicle to remote locations like nursing homes and other institutions as needed.
